Sizing
Sizing can subjective (do you measure the length of your earrings from the top or bottom of the earwire?).
Here are our guidelines for estimating your size (bracelet/anklet) and understanding our measurements.Earrings
Drop earrings are measured in inches from the top of the earwire.Bracelets and Anklets
We list bracelet/anklet size rather than the overall length of a piece as bead size impacts fit. For example, the two
bracelets pictured here are the same
length (a little less than 8¼ inches). The bracelet on the top is made with relatively large beads (each measuring 14mm
in diameter) and thus fits tighter around your
wrist than does the bracelet on the bottom, which is made with smaller beads measuring 6mm in diameter. In our example, the large bead bracelet (a size 6½) will fit a wrist that measures 6½ inches around (or less), while the small bead bracelet (nearly a size 7½) will fit a wrist that measures no more than 7½ inches around (see here) - even though they're the same length.
To determine your anklet or bracelet size: use a tape measure to measure the widest part of your wrist/ankle; this is your bracelet/anklet size for jewelry ordered from us. As an example: a size 6 bracelet will fit a 6-inch wrist snugly (i.e., there would be almost no wiggle room). My wrist measures 6 inches around and I'm happiest in a size 6 bangle or a 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 size bracelet. If you prefer your bracelets or anklets a little more loose, add ½ to ¾ inches to your size.
Necklaces
Necklaces are measured in inches from one end of the necklace to the other. For necklaces with an adjustable
length, the longest length is listed to the right of the closeup photo and the range of adjustment is
provided in the item description.Beads
Bead size (diameter) is provided in millimeters.
